You can use the app without signing up. We do not require or collect personal identifiers like email, phone number, or login credentials.

We do not store your face scans, scan results, or chat messages — ever.

🧠 Basic Analytics

We only collect anonymized counts such as:

  • Number of app opens
  • Number of scans (not the image itself)
  • Number of chat messages sent

📸 Face Scans

Scans are processed via OpenAI and never stored by GlowUp.

📧 Email (Optional)

Users may provide their email address for support and analytics purposes (e.g., helping with troubleshooting, understanding app usage trends).

We do not sell, share, or give your email address to third parties.

Providing an email is completely optional.

🧰 Third-party Services Used

OpenAI: For AI skin analysis. OpenAI retains API inputs and outputs (including images) for up to 30 days for the following limited purposes:

  • Monitor and prevent misuse or abuse
  • Ensure the service functions correctly
  • Deliver features like analytics or debugging tools

After 30 days, the data is automatically deleted from OpenAI's systems.

RevenueCat: For handling subscriptions and purchases.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the minimal data collected to:

  • Provide scan results and skincare insights
  • Improve app performance
  • Track usage patterns (counts only, anonymized)
  • Manage your subscription (if applicable)

5. Data Deletion

You may delete your data anytime using the option available in the app. This will remove any stored scan data linked to your usage.

6. No Medical Advice

All skin analysis and recommendations are for informational purposes only. GlowUp does not provide medical advice, and you should consult a professional for any medical concerns.

7. Data Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this policy over time. If changes are made, we will notify users via the app or app store update notes.
